What the position entails:

The primary purpose of the Vice President of Growth is to lead and expand our business development strategy across Canada. This executive role will be responsible for identifying new market opportunities, developing and implementing revenue strategies, driving long-term revenue growth and ensuring a strong client-centric culture.

Reporting directly to the CEO, this position will develop and execute strategic initiatives to optimize sales and business development efforts. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with a proven track record of driving revenue growth in competitive markets.

What you will do:
 
  • Lead GeoVerra's national business development strategy to achieve organizational growth targets. 
  • Identify new markets, client segments, and strategic partnerships to diversify and expand our portfolio.
  • Build strong relationships with key industry stakeholders, government agencies, and clients across sectors including Energy, Oil & Gas, Transportation, Infrastructure, Mining, Industrial, Power, Land Development, and Natural Resources.
  • Responsible for leading and aligning sales, marketing, and business development teams to create a cohesive revenue-driven culture.
  • Collaborate with the executive leadership and regional teams to align growth goals with overall vision and objectives.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning to identify opportunities for revenue expansion.
  • Provide executive-level reporting on business growth, and market expansion progress.
  • Identify trends and areas for improvement through the tracking of backlog, conversion rates, and pipeline metrics to enhance operational and strategic efficiency.
  • Establish and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success across revenue-generating departments.
  • Responsible for market research and intelligence to gather insights on industry trends, and customer preferences.  Using that information, make recommendations to the executive team regarding strategic decisions and to identify growth opportunities.
  • Inspire, mentor and lead the business development teams and regional leaders to achieve aggressive growth targets and build a growth-oriented culture.
What you will bring:
 
  • 10+ years of experience in Sr. Business development, sales, or growth leadership roles - preferably within the AEC industry.
  • 5-7+ years of experience in an Executive or VP level leading development strategy with a focus on sustained revenue growth.
  • Experience managing a portfolio over $100M and driving year-over-year growth
  • Proven track record of developing and executing national-level growth strategies that led to measurable revenue and market expansion.
  • Experience with design and implementation of business development strategy.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and negotiation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with entrepreneurial drive and operational insight.
  • Understanding of the markets including Energy, Transportation, Infrastructure, Mining, Industrial,  and Land Development
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence business decisions related to growth and expansion.
  • Track record of managing an opportunity forecast / funnel resulting in meeting / exceeding sales targets.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to learn and effectively communicate, understand, and express GeoVerra’s value proposition.
  • Ability to present information to audiences in a variety of settings.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Proficiency in CRM programs, or other business development programs is an asset.
